This is a NICE example of a 100% INERT WW2 Soviet Aircraft ShVAK Cannon Shell Casing! This was used many Soviet aircraft, including the Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik, Polikarpov I-153, Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG3, Yakovlev Yak-1, Yak-2, Yak-3, LaGG-3, Lavochkin La-5/La-7, Petlakov Pe-3/Pe-8. and Hawker Hurricane! The ShVAK Cannon was a 20 mm autocannon used by the Soviet Union during World War II. It was designed by Boris Shpitalniy and Semyon Vladimirov and entered production in 1936. ShVAK were installed in many models of Soviet aircraft. The TNSh was a version of the gun produced for light tanks (Russian: ТНШ: Tankovyi Nudel’man-Shpitalnyi). ShVAK shares the name with its 12.7 mm heavy machine gun predecessor. Made of brass this is a FANTASTIC piece of history! Completely inert, there are some very slight wear, marks, and damage, however it remains VERY SOLID! The markings are still strong throughout. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
