I had to fortune of spending some time observing a harpy eagle nest in Brazil. After about two hours, the adult male came to the nest and dropped off some "fresh" ian opossum. This photo was captured when the adult jumped from the nest to an upper limb. The Harpy Eagle is the second largest raptor (the largest being the Phillipine Monkey-eating eagle. It is probably one of the most powerful raptors on earth, able to snatch a small monkey.
