Our Civil War Cavalry Officers Saber is an authentic, hand made replica. Hand forged and fully tempered 1095 high carbon steel, coupled with original handle and sheath materials to ensure it performs exactly as the original did. Features a flexible, ornate blade and leather grip wrapped with brass wire. It is just like the old one carried by General Jo Shelby, the Missouri cavalry raider who never surrendered his command. This fine sword has letters crisply acid etched on the hand forged blade. C and S is cast into the guard with excellent detail. The scabbard is blued steel, with brass throats, mounts, rings and drag. Beautifully finished.
