Tibetans prefer a deep red color for color. They preferred larger rounded beads - spheres that were flat on two sides , and with minimum blemishes- and paid a premium price for these stones. They were used with turqoise, dzis and pearls as adornments.Due to the scarcity of these beads, coral prices have only continued to rise.This coral necklace consists of 2 strands with vintage Tibetan coral beads weighing 233 grams.
